Organization	Poor Story does not have any logical order and does not make sense.	Fair Story follows a simple pattern, yet has sporatic jumps that are not understandable.	Good Story follows a logical pattern. Only one or two small parts of the story do not fit in with the flow.	Excellent Story has no jumps and follows a logical pattern.
Word Choice	Poor Poor use of vocabulary. Basic words: simply written.	Fair Average use of different vocabulary. Slightly more mature.	Good Expanded word use. Some simple word choice, yet overall a mature tone.	Excellent Mature word use and many variations of word choice. Expanded and difference in vocabulary.
