	Excellent 3 pts	Good 2.5 pts	Fair 2 pts	OK 1.5 pts	Poor 1 pts
Content	Excellent Appropriate content is used for each word problem. Student clearly understands the mathematical concepts.	Good Content given is used for each word problem. Student understands the mathematical concepts, makes very few errors.	Fair Appropriate content is used for each word problem. Student shows some understanding of the mathematical concepts.	OK Appropriate content may be used. Student shows little understanding of the mathematical concepts.	Poor Appropriate content is not observed. Student does not demonstrate a complete understanding of the mathematical concepts.
Organization	Excellent The answer is written in clear and coherent language. The word problem includes a correct answers that are neat and legible.	Good The answer is written in clear and coherent language. The word problem includes a mostly correct answers with very few noticeable errors.	Fair The answer is written in clear and coherent language. The word problem includes answers that are understandable.	OK The answer is not written in clear and coherent language. The word problem may or may not include the correct answer in statement.	Poor The answer is not written in clear and coherent language, or may not be observed. The word problem does not have an answer.
Mechanics	Excellent Proper language, capitalization and punctuation are present with no mistakes.	Good Proper language, capitalization and punctuation with one mistake that is not ignorable (changes the meaning of answer).	Fair Proper language, capitaliztion and punctuation are present with no more than two mistakes.	OK Proper language, capitalization and puntuation may be used, but more than two mistakes.	Poor Proper language, capitaliztion and punctuation are not observed.
Illustration	Excellent Illustration clearly represents the topic of the problem and referenced in statement.	Good Illustration is representing the topic of the problem but does not referenced.	Fair Illustration somewhat represents the topic of the problem.	OK Illustration attempts to represent the problem.	Poor Illustration is not observed.
