Meiosis Project Cell Cycle Animation Project I will use this rubric to grade my students' work on their meiosis drawing project. Rubric Code: G9W5B4 By slmiller10 Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Science Type: Project Grade Levels: 6-8, 9-12

Illustrations You don't have to be Van Gogh!	Does Not Meet Illustrations are too small and/or hard to see; project does not include enough drawings, or the drawings do not have enough detail.	Partially Meets Contains few illustrations that are not all easy to see. Some pictures are large enough, but do not have enough detail.	Meets Expectations Contains enough illustrations and they are large enough and easy to see. All pictures have adequate detail.	Exceeds Contains more than enough illustrations and all are large and clearly drawn, making them easy to see. All pictures have excellent detail.
Clarity/Content Easy to understand!	Does Not Meet Contains mostly incorrect information, does not research info not covered in class.<BR> Students would not understand subject, even with in-class knowledge.	Partially Meets Contains some correct information, does not research info not covered in class. Students find it hard to understand concepts.	Meets Expectations All information is correct, including some info not covered in class. Students would understand with in-class knowledge.	Exceeds All information is correct, including info not covered in class. Students would understand with little to no previous knowledge.
Time Management Use it wisely!	Does Not Meet Time was not managed well.	Partially Meets Some of the time was managed well, but distractions occurred often.	Meets Expectations Most of the time was managed well, but distractions occurred now and then.	Exceeds Time was managed well and student was on task nearly 100% of the time.
Creativity Make the project your own!	Does Not Meet No evidence of original thinking.	Partially Meets Some evidence of original thinking.	Meets Expectations Unique idea that is eye-catching and utilizes specific talents.	Exceeds Excellent incorporation of multiple ideas. Original and broad use of media that is eye-catching.
Necessary Descriptions of stages and cell parts.	Does Not Meet Information is not clearly worded, poor descriptions. Very few stages/parts are described.
