French Cafe Evaluation 
Students are to create menus for a cafe. They have to create at least 2 menus that include drinks, meals and deserts with prices and in French. They have to give their cafe a French name. Finally, they have to write and present a dialogue during which they order food, discuss school, ask for a piece of silverware, pay the check and leave.

The Cafe was given a great French name, street address, hours of operation and phone number. It also showed creativity and originality.
Menu

According to the menu rubric.

Not Meeting

The menu doesn't show any creativity and there are not enough menus for all the customers. There are not enough items on the menu and/or they are not priced in Euros.
Approaching

The menus are not complete or are written partially in English or there are spelling mistakes. There aren't enough menus for all the customers.
Meeting

The menus have all the requirements but students didn't add any personal touches. There are 2-3 spelling mistakes on the menus.
Exceeding

The menus show creativity. There are at least 3 items for deserts, 3 items for drinks and 3 items for entrees all written in French. All items are priced in Euros. There are enough menus for each customer and no spelling mistakes.
Oral Participation

In regards to taking and placing an order in French.

Not Meeting

Student made little to no effort to speak in French and did most of the participation in English.
Approaching

Student used the vocabulary presented in class, but did not put effort into comprehending others use of the language.
Meeting

Student used the vocabulary presented in class and made best effort to use the language.
Exceeding

Student used the vocabulary presented in class and added in own language acquisitions and language acquisitions from previous chapters.
Dialogue

Not Meeting

Student's written dialogue was incomplete or had many spelling/grammar mistakes.
Approaching

Student's written dialogue was complete but had several spelling/grammar mistakes.
Meeting

Student's written dialogue was complete but had some grammar/spelling mistakes.
Exceeding

Student's written dialogue was complete and had no grammar/spelling mistakes. The dialogue was at least 2 minutes/person in length. For example, if you have 3 people your skit was 6 minutes in length.
