Students will use character traits found on a list provided in class. Traits must be used correctly, showing that the student understands the meaning of the trait.

Poor

Character traits from the list are used, but only two are used correctly in the essay.
Fair

Character traits from the list are used, three to five are used correctly.
Good

Character traits from the list are used, six to eight are used correctly demonstrating student understanding.
Outstanding

Ten or more character traits are used. All traits are used correctly showing outstanding student understanding of the meaning of the trait.
Punctuation, spelling, and grammar

Any assignment should be carefully examined to ensure that all words are spelled correctly, there are no punctuation or grammar errors.
