Capitals	Poor Does not list all of the state capitals, gets a majority in the wrong place.	Fair Lists all of the state capitals, gets a majority of them in the wrong place.	Good Lists all of the state capitals, gets some of them wrong.	Excellent Lists all of the state capitals correctly.
States	Poor Does not list all of the states, gets a majority in the wrong place.	Fair Lists all of the states, gets a majority of them in the wrong place.	Good Lists all of the states, gets some of them wrong.	Excellent Lists all of the states correctly.
Legend/Compass	Poor Does not include the legend and compass.	Fair Includes either the compass or legend but not both.	Good Has both the compass and legend but does not have the correct information.	Excellent Has both the legend and compass with correct information on both.
Creativity	Poor Bland, black and white map with no pictures.	Fair Little color added or only a few pictures were included.	Good Decent amount of color and pictures were included.	Excellent Pictures representing the states were included with plenty of color!
