Crust

Don't Bother

The crust is still raw and uncooked, doughy. The crust is overcooked and burnt. The consistency of the crust is not correct, too thin or too thick and is very misshapened.
Barely Edible

The crust has pockets of dough or burnt but is not completely raw or burnt. The crust is still on the too thin or too thick side and is slighty out of shape. The oven temperature not hot enough to cook it thoroughly.
Good Enough to Eat

The crust is cooked through but lacks real flavor. The overall look of the crust is average and has that look and taste of store bought. The shape of the crust is coming together and looking like a pizza.
Reaching Perfection

A wood fired oven is used for proper temperature. There is good consistency with the crust. Has a good texture and nicely developed flavor. The crust is not too thin or too thick. The crust has a well defined pizza shape.
Out of this World

Only the hottest wood fired oven is used in order to get the desired crunch and taste to the crunch. The crust has a light fluffy bread-like taste and appearance. It is perfectly shaped and cooked with flavorings that add to the overall taste of the pizza. The taste of the crust is that of home-made rather than store bought.
Sauce

Don't Bother

The sauce doesn't have any real flavor and tastes as though it came from a jar. There is no hint of any fresh ingredients that were used and in fact has too much going on to tell whether or not it is a pizza sauce. The amount of sauce is either too much on the crust or barely there.
Barely Edible

The sauce is starting to develop some flavor but still has a jar taste. The consistency is better and the amount on the pizza is still too much or too little.
Good Enough to Eat

The use of fresh ingredients are showing in the flavor. The sauce has an even consistency and is ladled onto the crust more evenly.
Reaching Perfection

Fresh tomatoes and herbs are used allowing for a full flavor taste. The consistency of the sauce is close to perfect and the amount used on the pizza is right on.
Out of this World

Only the freshest tomatoes and herbs are used along with a slow cooked process allowing for the flavors to come together beautifully leaving the consumer wanting more. The exact consistency and amount of sauce is perfectly placed onto the crust.
Cheese

Don't Bother

Imitation cheese with high water content has been used. Very little cheese is on the pizza and is not melted correctly.
Barely Edible

There is more cheese on the pizza but the quality of cheese is cheap and has the taste as imitation and not fresh.
Good Enough to Eat

A fair amount of cheese is on the pizza, spread failry even. The cheese is of higher quality with a higher melting point allowing for proper taste.
Reaching Perfection

A high grade of mozzeralla cheese has been used in a near perfect amount spread evenly throughout the pizza. The cheese has a gooey appearance.
Out of this World

Only the freshest mozzeralla that is handmade is used. The exact amount has been spread evenly throughout the pizza allowing for a gooey texture. The cheese has a nice stretch to it and is hot, bubbling and slightly brown when it comes out of the oven.
Toppings

Don't Bother

Very minimal amount of toppings are used and the quality of ingredients are not fresh and still have uncooked taste to it.
Barely Edible

Slightly more than minimal of toppings are used but freshness is still a problem as is the doneness of the toppings.
Good Enough to Eat

Toppings are spread more evenly through out the pizza. The freshness of the ingredients are better and are cooked more thoroughly.
Reaching Perfection

The right amount of toppings to the size of pizza is more fitting. The toppings are of fresher quality and are cooked thoroughly.
Out of this World

Only the use of the finest and freshest ingredients (toppings) are used. There is the perfect balance of toppings on the pizza and they are cooked to perfection.
Taste & Presentation

Don't Bother

Pizza has a store bought frozen taste to it that has not been completely cooked through. The presentation is not at all appetizing and lacks any wow factor.
Barely Edible

Pizza still has store bought taste but is prepared as cooked more. The presentation still lacks any pizazz.
Good Enough to Eat

The pizza is cooked through and has an average taste, tasting better than a store bought or frozen pizza. The presentation is more pleasing to the eye.
Reaching Perfection

The pizza is nearly perfectly cooked with the beginnings of browning on the cheese. The presentation is beautiful and made to make one want more.
Out of this World

The pizza is absolute perfection and truly made with love. Only the freshest ingredients were used. The presentation is one that is almost too pretty to eat but once that bite has been taken there is no going back.
