Order of Events The student will show an understanding of the picture sequence by placing the events in a logical order.	Below level The student was unable to put the events into a logical sequence.	Approaching level Some of the events of the story are in the correct logical sequence.	On level All events were in the correct logical sequence.
Verbal Skills	Below level The student did not use any words to describe the pictures in the sequence.	Approaching level The student used very little descriptive words to describe the picture. He could only name one color.	On level The student could use descriptive words such as all of the colors she was painting with to describe the pictures.
