Tessallation pattern	Excellent Placement of pattern was well planned and executed in a near perfect manner.	Above Average Placement of pattern was well aligned and planned out. Design layout	Excellent Interesting and creative design that creates something new and different when formed into a working tessellation.	Above Average Layout works together nicely and forms a working tessellation that is pleasing to the eye.	Average Layout sort of works but misses in some areas.	Needs Improvement Layout fails to come together and create a tessellation.
Technique	Excellent No overlap. Very neat and well kept. Very well aligned pieces that were equally cut. All glued down correctly. Centered. Colored well.	Above Average Attentiveness to the overall neatness. Well aligned tessellations. Everything glued down flat. Little overlapping. Evenly cut out pieces. Symmetrical coloring	Average Some lack of attentiveness to the overall neatness. Some overlapping. Flip-flopped tessellations. Some edges coming up due to lack of glue. Some unevenly cut out parts. Colors off in places.	Needs Improvement Overall messy appearance. Poor glue usage. Lots of overlapping. Not centered. Mismatched tessellations. Several unevenly cut pieces. No even distribution of color around the pattern.
Effort	Excellent On task all class every class.	Above Average Occasionally distracted but on task for the most part.	Average Worked some but talked more than worked, thus making a lack luster product that isn't up to their potential.	Needs Improvement Wasted a lot of time in class by talking instead of working.
