Excellent
Project displays an extensive understanding of the criteria of the project. Student utilized independent thought and ingenuity to skillfully go beyond the project itself, adding their own interpretation and skill set.
Satisfactory
Project displays a sound understanding of the the novel and project requirements, but may be lacking in depth and/or complexity and follow through. Student utilized some ingenuity to go somewhat beyond the project itself.
Fair
Project displays a basic understanding of the novel and project requirements. Student completed the requirements but did not go beyond the them by adding their own interpretation or ingenuity.
Creativity
Excellent
Project has extremely creative and original ideas. Truly showed the student's creative talents. The project had a strong 'voice' and that voice was distinctive to the author.
Satisfactory
Project has some creative and original ideas. Some aspects of the project demonstrated some level of creativity and a satisfactory and unique voice.
Fair
Project has minimal creativity and original ideas. Most components were a literarl interpretation of the text. The student's unique voice was lacking.
Effort
Excellent
Demonstrates clear and insightful understanding of the connection to the novel and work as a whole. Effort is obvious!
Satisfactory
Shows evidence of time, thought and preparation; however, the final result may have been somewhat simplistic in nature.
Fair
Shows little evidence of time in the project. Minimum amount of effort in project.
