Listening Comprehension	Level 1 Student can not identify any listening comprehension strategies and/or does not use them appropriately during, and after listening to understand French texts.	Level 2 Student sometimes can identify some listening comprehension strategies and sometimes uses them appropriately during, and after listening to understand French texts.	Level 3 Student can identify most listening comprehension strategies and use them appropriately during, and after listening to understand French texts.	Level 4 Student can identify a range of listening comprehension strategies and use them appropriately during, and after listening to understand French texts with confidence.
Listening to Interact	Level 1 Student does not interpret and restate messages from the interview accurately while interacting in French.	Level 2 Student interprets and restates some messages from the interview accurately while interacting in French.	Level 3 Student interprets and restates the messages from the interview accurately while interacting in French.	Level 4 Student accurately interprets and restates with confidence detailed messages from the interview while interacting in French.
Speaking to Communicate	Level 1 Student cannot communicate orally in French the information from the interview.	Level 2 Student can sometimes communicate orally in French the information from the interview.	Level 3 Student can communicate orally in French the information from the interview.	Level 4 Student can easily and confidently communicate orally in French the information from the interview.
French Communication	Level 1 Student's presentation includes incomplete sentences in French and poor use of details.	Level 2 Student's presentation includes simple sentences in French and fair use of details.	Level 3 Student's presentation includes complete sentences in French and good use of details.	Level 4 Student's presentation includes well-composed complex complete sentences in French and excellent use of details.
