Statement of Challenge	Excellent Is clear, precise, states the essays central point and the author's assertion about the topic. It will also state the main points to be covered without announcing the topic.	Above Average Adequately states the topic and assertion towards the topic.	Proficient States the topic and the assertion towards the topic; may be broad, too vague, or refers to the title	Underdeveloped Vaguely states the main point and/or does not have the author's assessment.
