This rubric is aimed at evaluating the student's lab performance, literacy skills, quantitative and qualitative observations, and the analysis and conclusions.

Excellent
Report is clear and concise. Observations, analysis and conclusion answers are written in complete sentences. Sentences may contain 1 spelling or grammar error.
Lab Performance
Poor
Student attempts to do lab without reading or following directions. Disregards safety, and/or does not clean up.
Fair
Student needs constant assistance, may need constant reminders to stay on task. May leave some materials out.
Good
Student follows written directions with some guidance. Student cleans up as directed.
Excellent
Student independently follows all directions, written and verbal. Adheres to all safety rules, cleans up as directed
Observations
Poor
Required work is incomplete and inaccurate.
Fair
Student partially records data and shows a lack of accuracy/care. Graph, data table, and/or diagram (if required) is incomplete. Calculations are missing.
Good
Student records MOST data accurately. All graphs, tables, and/or drawings are completed with some errors made. Calculations are incomplete.
Excellent
Student records ALL data accurately including required charts, graphs, drawings and calculations.
Analysis & Conclusions
Poor
Missing analysis & conclusion completely
Fair
Missing some parts of the analysis & conclusion. Some knowledge is missing.
Good
All analysis & Conclusions are present and complete. Expected Knowledge gained is present, but not clear and concise.
Excellent
Clear and concise CONLUSIONS are given. Conclusion addresses problem and states ALL Expected Knowledge is gained.
