Fair Names the Stone Age and at least 2 of the Periods and some details about one of them.	Good Names the Stone Age and describes the 3 periods (Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic) chronologically and describes in detail more than one of them.
Describes Cause/Effect chains	Poor Describes one cause-effect chain.	Fair Describes two cause-effect chains.	Good Describes two cause-effect chains and one longer cause - effect/cause - effect chain.
Uses Transition Words	Poor Doesn't use transition words or phrases.	Fair Uses more than one transition word or phrase, yet not effectively.	Good Uses transition words and phrases fluently (at the beginning, middle and end or sentences, as appropriate).
