This rubric will be used to evaluate student work for the figures-to-scale project involving ratios and proportions.

Rubric Criteria

Assignment Completeness	4 100% of questions answered. There is a completed figure that serves as a real life comparison. Student is able to explain the process of scaling the figure.	3 Between 90-100% of questions attempted. There is a completed figure as real life comparison. 1 -2 comparisons are slightly off in scale. Student can explain how to scale a figure.	2 Between 70-89% of the questions attempted. 2 to 3 items are missing from the real life comparison. 3-4 comparisons are off in scale. Student can explain some of the calculations for scale but lacks clarity.	1 Student did not attempt to complete assignment.
Accuracy	4 Between 90-100% of the calculations were done correctly. The proportion or unit rate was calculated correctly.	3 Between 80-89% of the calculations were done correctly. The proportion or unit rate was close to being calculated correctly.	2 Between 70-79% of the calculations were done correctly. The proportion or unit rate was not calculated correctly.	1 Less than 69% of the calculations were done correctly. The student did not calculate anything.
Exlanation & neatness	4 Student can explain how he/she arrived at the model created and provides clear examples of the procedure.	3 Student can explain how he/she arrived at the model created.	2 Student can explain partially how he/she arrived at the model created. Student struggles with clear examples.	1 There was no model completed.
Effort	4 Extremely involved, worked very hard in class and with group.	3 Involved in the work most of the time.	2 Somewhat involved in the work, sometimes off task.	1 Hardly involved in the work.
