Preparedness	Excellent Student brought instrument & music to class.	Good Student brought instrument or music to class, but not both.	Poor Student did not bring instrument and music to class.
Practice	Excellent It is evident that the student has extensively practiced all required pieces.	Good It is evident that the student has somewhat practiced the required pieces.	Poor It is evident that the student did not practice the required pieces.
Responding	Excellent Student MOSTLY RESPONDED to both the staff and peer's questions, ideas and opinions, and did so in a respectful manner.	Good Student SOMETIMES RESPONDED to both the staff and peer's questions, ideas and opinions, but was not always respectful.	Poor Student NEVER RESPONDED to both the staff and peers questions, ideas and opinions, and was always disrespectful.
Listening Skills	Excellent Student mostly listened / watched when others were speaking or performing. Responses were always appropriate.	Good Student often listened / watched when others were speaking or performing. Responses were sometimes appropriate.	Poor Student never listened / watched when others were speaking or performing. Responses were never appropriate.
Participation	Excellent Student mostly participated in class activities and they consistently got along with others well.
