Bill of Rights Shield Project Rubric

Students will create a Bill of Rights shield. The shield will include pictures and phrases explaining each of the six amendments discussed in chapter 15.

Creativity Drawings are original and should not be from the computer. Your shield and drawings should be colorful.	Poor Resembles the exact shield shown of the pages in the Interactive Notebook. There are half or more drawings (0-3) for the amendments missing, or computer drawings were used. Little to no color was used.	Fair Shield design is somewhat orignal. Not all drawings for the amendments are included (4-5). Color is very limited.	Good Shield design is orignial. There are drawings for all amendments (6). Very colorful.
Content Each amendment should include all rights for that amendment, two examples of how showing the use of the rigths.	Poor Project is missing half or more of the explanaitons for the amendments.	Fair Project has most of the required explanations for the amendments.	Good Project has all of the required elements. (i.e. all the rights in the amendment are listed, two examples of using the right are shown.)
Neatness Explanations can be written neatly in hand or done on the computer.	Poor Writing is unreadable.	Fair Writing is a little sloppy but still readable.	Good Writing is very clear and easy to read
Size of Posterboard/Name No smaller than 8 1/2 x 11" and no bigger than 11 1/2 x 17". Name should be on back side.	Poor Posterboard does not meet requirements and name is not included.	Fair Posterboard meets requirements and/or name is not included.	Good Projects meets both requirements.
