Partially Proficient Literature addresses one science standard. The concepts are accurate but not functional or believable.	Novice The literature does not address science concepts/standards or they are inaccurate.
Connections	Advanced Text includes real-world connections that are applicable. Children can relate to these concepts in the context presented.	Proficient Text includes real-world connections that are applicable.	Partially Proficient Text includes real-world connections, however, some may be fictional.
