Lab Performance	Poor Student attempts to do lab without reading or following directions. Disregards safety, and/or does not clean up.	Fair Student needs constant assistance, may need constant reminders to stay on task. May leave some materials out.	Good Student follows written directions with some guidance. Student cleans up as directed.	Excellent Student independently follows all directions, written and verbal. Adheres to all safety rules, cleans up as directed. Works very well with lab partners.
Observations	Poor Required work is incomplete and inaccurate.	Fair Student partially records qualitative data and shows a lack of accuracy/care.	Good Student records MOST qualitative data accurately and clearly.	Excellent Student records ALL qualitative data accurately, clearly and thoroughly describes their observations.
Analysis	Poor Missing analysis completely	Fair Missing some parts of the analysis. Some knowledge is missing.	Good All analysis questions are complete. Expected knowledge gained is present, but not clear and concise.	Excellent Clear and concise answers to all analysis questions are given. Expected knowledge is gained and communicated clearly.
