After answering questions about a famous family of their choice, students create a poster and present it in class . They include: a tittle, photos, description of the family and each family member, and author's name.

Completion, Organization & Effort	SENSACIONAL! Writer exceeds or fulfills the requirements by writing fully detailed sentences in the target language and has put care and effort into the process. Paragraphs are organinzed and topic is discussed thoroughly.	BRAVO! Writer included somewhat detailed sentences. Writing is generally logical. Most information on topic included.	BIEN Writer has included some or a few detailed sentences, leaving out key components of the writing prompt. Paragraphs are somewhat unorganized.	POBRE Paragraphas are very unorganized. There is little or no flow. Incomplete coverage of topic.
Comprehensibility	SENSACIONAL! Reader can always understand what the writer is trying to communicate. Spanish vocabulary and idioms are used correctly. No interpretation on part of reader is necessary.	BRAVO! Reader can understand most of what the writer is trying to communicate. Mostly correct use of Spanish vocabulary and idioms. Minimal interpretation on the part of reader is required.	BIEN Reader can understand less than half of what writer is trying to communicate and must rely on interpretation. Incorrect use of vocabulary and idioms.	POBRE Multiple errors in vocabulary/idiom usage. Incomprehensible throughout writing.
General Accuracy	SENSACIONAL! Writer stays in target language throughout and uses correct word order, spelling and/or punctuation.	BRAVO! The student is able to translate directly from his/her written work, but he/she hesitate with a couple of the words.	BIEN The student is able to translate the main idea from his/her written work, but he/she forgets the meaning of several the words.	POBRE The student needs to stop several times while he/she is translating because he/she forgot the meaning of what he/she wrote.
Appearance of poster	SENSACIONAL! The poster includes all required elements (tittle, photos, family members' descriptions and author's name). The poster shows effort and creativity.	BRAVO! The poster is missing one of required elements, but shows effort and creativity.	BIEN The poster is missing a couple of the required elements and shows little effort.	POBRE The poster is missing several of the required elements and shows lack of effort.
