Work Of Art that Represents at least 3 Elements Of Art 
Students are to create an original work of art that represent at least 3 elements of art or principles of design. All principles are to be integrated into one and must fill the entire page. Colored pencils are to be used for color. You may use as much or little color, depending on your creative choices. You may use more than 3 elements if that is what you choose. On the back of the sheet you must list the elements you chose in your design. Scrap paper provided.

The artwork shows no understanding of the Principles of Design. The Elements listed in the back do not reflect the finished artwork, shapes are floated and not integrated into one design.

Extraordinary

The artwork shows outstanding craftsmanship,with clear attention to detail, all lines are drawn with straight edges. There are no unclean marks present, all color is drawn and fill the shapes completely with no white space in those shapes and coloring stays within the lines
Above average

The artwork shows good craftmanship, with some attention to detail. Straight edges are used for all lines but there may be unclean marks on the page. Some color is not rendered well and there are patches of white where color is intended to be placed.
Average

The artwork shows average craftsmanship with marginal attention to detail. Some lines are drawn without a straight edge and work seems rushed: There are unclean marks, poor rendering of color.
Below average

The artwork shows below average craftmanship and no detail. lLnes are drawn without a straight edge and work seems rushed: There are unclean marks, poor rendering of color.
Poor

The artwork shows poor craftsmanship, minimal effort and care to his/her design. They complete the work within 15-30 minutes of the class which proves their lack of enthusiasm.

What it takes to finish the project as well as possible, time dedicated to the project inside and/or out of class.

Extraordinary

The student put forth extraordinary effort to complete the project with great care, spent virtually the entire class to complete the project in its entirety used class time extremely well.
Above average

The student put forth great effort to complete their project and worked virtually until the end of class. Student spent marginal time wasting several minutes by doodling on a separate sheet that was provide to help them come up with the design.
Average

The student put forth effort but ran out of time to complete. A lack of care is evident by in completing the work with much time left for the test.
Below average

The student put forth little effort, work is incomplete, spent most of the time not working. Little work is evident when test is collected.
Poor

The student put forth minimal effort, spent most of the time not working or just doodling on the practice sheet. All work created was done haphazardly.
