	Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Organization	Good The organization is clear and coherent. Each section has an order and a purpose.	Fair The outline is modest. For the most part each section is labeled.	Poor There is no discernible order. The order of themes and concepts is unclear.
Concepts	Good Concepts are clearly stated. They are well-defined and have sub bullets and example.	Fair There is a fair amount of concepts. Most of them are defined, but are conceptually ambiguous.	Poor There is little to no mention of important concepts in the text. Concepts that are included are poorly defined and ambiguous.
Thoroughness	Good Highly thorough, each section is completed. Highly detailed outline that ties organization and concepts found in lecture and in the chapter quite thoroughly.	Fair Generally thorough, however a few areas are missing. Some sections of the chapter were skipped over/completely missing.	Poor The outline looks thrown together at the last minute – e.g., handwritten; done in-class on day it was due).
