Proficient/Average Essay made three fair and logical connections between the topics covered this semester.	Developing/Needs Improvement Essay made one or two connections between topics covered this semester; connections may not have been logical.	Emerging/Insufficient Essay did not show evidence that student made any connections between the topics covered this semester.
