The student will be evaluated as to how well they use breath control, intonation/expression, enunciation/diction, volume, and speed in speaking to an audience for ease of understanding

	Poor Lacking the needed skill so as to cause audience members difficulty in following 1 pts	Good An average presentation proficient yet lacking the needed accuracy 2 pts	Excellent Skill is fully engaged allowing ease and comfort of speech with easy understanding by the audience 3 pts
Breathing Taking an initial breath and maintaining good breathing throughout the speech	Poor No strong initial breath and inconsistent breathing patterns throughout the speech.	Good Good initial breath followed by weak or inconsistent breathing of lack of strong initial breath followed by better breathing patterns	Excellent Deep, full initial breath followed by regular breaths without holding breath, losing vocal strength or fading
Volume Consistent ease of hearing speech	Poor Difficult to hear	Good Inconsistent volumes, some good yet changing so as to be difficult to hear.	Excellent Constant, full volume, easy to hear.
Clarity/diction Ease of understanding due to proper pronunciation of letter sounds	Poor Difficult to understand word sounds.
