Class Content 3 pts	Excellent Student continuously related back to content material in a well-ordered manner and clearly used the class assignment as a resource.	Good Student related back to content material, but did not elaborate on their comments and did not follow an understandable format.	Fair Student used little to no references from the content information. Student did not discuss the particular songs and did not express their feelings in a clear manner.	Poor/No Effort Student did not submit essay, or content was not acceptable.
Use of Presented Material 3 pts	Excellent Student used research from public sources out side of the class material and referenced class material and their own personal material.	Good Students used one or two examples from class material but did not go into their own personal material or use outside sources.	Fair Student did not reference examples of material presented or outside source.	Poor/No Effort Student did not submit essay, or content was not acceptable.
Reflection 4 pts 4	Excellent Student gave their whole opinion and feelings about the question which called for a reflection and personal opinion.	Good Student gave their opinion in order to get the points for the questions, but did not truly express their feelings about the reflection questions.	Fair Student did not express any opinion regarding any of the class material.	Poor/No Effort Student did not submit essay, or content was not acceptable.
Proofreading 2 pts	Excellent Student displayed proper grammar and punctuation throughout the essay.	Good Student missed a few grammatical errors, but made an effort to fix their essay before turning it in.	Fair Student did not proofread their essay prior to turning it in. Multiple errors were made in each paragraph.	Poor/No Effort Student did not submit essay, or content was not acceptable.
