Bergin University: LIF 510 
This course focuses on the construction of a research instrument or culminating project and investigating its measurement properties (validity and reliability). This measurement will be linked to qualitative measures and quantitative observations and will be discussed in a variety of contexts: interviewing, standardized testing or performance assessment. Students will examine the development of knowledge frameworks, and what shapes them; the purpose of such frameworks as they impact decision-making; a review of issues and research in assistance dogs (service, hearing, guide, social/ therapy) and other ways dogs help or are involved with people.
