Article Relevance	Good The article addresses important topics from our course of study. It is research based and encourages higher level thinking.	Fair The article has at least three main points that add to our understanding of topics discussed. The ideas are on the surface and do not encourage deeper thinking.	Needs Work The article has little to do with our current studies. It is more of a list with very little presented to think about.
Article Summary	Good The reader has obviously grasped the core of the article. The main points are presented in an easy to read and understand format.	Fair Very few points are recorded. Those presented might be confusing.	Needs Work Most of the points of the article are missing. The summary is poorly written.
Personal Response	Good It is obvious that that reader understood the article and was able to view it through h/her personal lens. There is evidence of deeper thought in the reflection.	Fair Some thought went into the response. However, it shows more opinion than evidence.	Needs Work The response shows no understanding of why the article is of benefit to a student in our course.
