Meets Standards The student answered MOST of the comprehension questions correctly. Student comprehends main idea of the reading.	Below Standards The student answered at least HALF the comprehension questions correctly.	Far Below Standards The student did not complete the assignment and/or answered LESS THAN HALF of the comprehension questions correctly.
Textual Evidence w/citations	Exceeds Standards The level of detail in each question is EXCELLENT and INSIGHTFUL. Textual details are relevant and the student has connected fully with the literature. Evidence is cited in MLA format.	Meets Standards The level of detail in each question is GOOD. The student could add a bit more textual detail to further enhance answers. Evidence is cited; MLA format is attempted.	Below Standards The level of detail in each question is EMERGING DEVELOPING! The student attempts to engage the text. Most evidence is cited; format may be incorrect.	Far Below Standards The level of detail in each question is POOR and the student makes no attempt to include textually relevant information. Some or no evidence is cited. MLA format is not attempted.
Sentence Form	Exceeds Standards The student answered ALL of the comprehension questions in complete well-written sentences.	Meets Standards The student answered MOST of the comprehension questions in complete well-written sentences.	Below Standards The student answered at least HALF of the comprehension questions in complete sentences. Sentences may lack detail and seem "hurried."
