Literary Analysis Essay Rubric 
After reading a short story by Mark Twain write a literary analysis of one story describing how Twain uses literary devices to provide and enhance the satire that speaks to society's need to look at themselves and their follies and foibles in the hope of making an improvement in the foolishness and corruption of society. Support the understanding of satire with references to the text by describing three specific literary devices Twain uses to help him develop the satire in his story.
