Student is focused in class but occasionally forgets to bring in class materials. Works hard to make adjustments or corrections given but is challenged in this area. A little less socializing and talking in class and more listening would help with this
Surpasses Expectations

Student always comes to class remembering what a was worked on the week before. Takes direction well and is always focused and ready to work. A model student in this area.

Student's awareness and willingness to connect to other ensemble members is very apparent.
Student's ability to work as part of a team is extraordinary. Is a leader in the class and ready to jump in to help whenever needed.

Does the student contribute musically to the performance? Can they sing on pitch and in rhythm/tempo

Falls Short of Expectations

Student lip-synchs or sings mostly off pitch. Lacks confidence and tone when singing.
Meets Expectations

Student is engaged in the music, expresses emotion and sings accurately on pitch. Needs work on confidence and tone. Shows promise and works hard.
Surpasses Expectations

Student sings masterfully and interprets the material with accuracy and flair. Student has great tone and pitch and sings healthfully.

Dance

Is the Student able to tell the story through the choreography? Do they pick up quickly and show proficiency in Tap and Theatre Dance.

Falls Short of Expectations

Student does not remember dance moves and has difficulty learning choreography. Lacks energy when dancing and the Execution of the choreography is inconsistent.
Meets Expectations

Student executes the dance moves with appropriate expression in time to the music. They consistently work hard to learn choreography but need more dance training to gain confidence and assist in picking movement up quickly.
Surpasses Expectations

Student dances confidently and executes the choreography with energy and precision. Is able to tell a story through movement and not drop the character.
