Kinetic Sculpture Kinetic Sculpture Students will build a miniature sculpture out of found/common materials that contains at least two moving elements using wind mechanical kinetic energy and is 6-inches in height. Skill; Incorporating moving part ~Moving part was built with careful consideration and skill. ~Sculpture was balanced and self standing.	Level 1 *Sculpture is incomplete.	Level 2 The student attempted to build their moving part or sculpture on their own, but gave up as soon as it challenged them. Redesign attempts have not been made. *Pieces were barely considered and craftsmanship was not a priority.	Level 3 The moving part and sculpture was successful. Attempts for redesign is evident but there is room to improve. *The sculpture showed evidence of attention to detail in the pieces and the craftsmanship.	Level 4 The moving part functioned reliably and smoothly. The sculpture is superior and elegant. Student used opportunities to redesign to show best quality work. The sculpture pieces are well constructed and have excellent craftsmanship with great attention to detail.

Level 2 The student chose the design and completed it without any added effort. The criteria is not met.	Level 3 The student chose the design and it was well executed with good craftsmanship and unifying design. The minimum criteria is met.	Level 4 The student chose a more advanced design and put excellent effort and skill into achieving it. They have more than two parts showing energy transformations or transfers *The design is elaborate and extending.
Creativity/ Originality ~Took time to plan ~3 Sketches considering different ideas for each one.	Level 1 *Sculpture is incomplete.	Level 2 *The piece shows little evidence of original thought.	Level 3 The student's work lacked sincere originality. There are sketches but they do not show adequate problem solving efforts, few variations of ideas are shown.	Level 4 The student's work demonstrates originality. The student has created several sketches in an effort to work through problem solving and develop different ideas.
