Packaging Design Project
	Excellent 15 pts	Good 10 pts	Fair 5 pts	Poor 2 pts
Display	Excellent Creative display with a variety of materials and high creativity.	Good Display with materials and some creativity.	Fair Display with minimal materials and creativity.	Poor Bare display created.
Design Concept	Excellent Design fully demonstrates an understanding of how shape and dimensions affect surface area.	Good Design demonstrates how shape and dimensions affect surface area but details are left out	Fair Design demonstrates how shape or dimensions affect surface area but not both.	Poor Design does not demonstrate how shape or dimensions affect surface area.
Math Operations	Excellent Numbers, operations, and formulas are clear, correct and logical, computations match the diagram.	Good Numbers, operations, and formulas are clear and most are correct with some order shown.	Fair Numbers, operations and formulas are attempted but out of order	Poor Numbers, operations, and formulas are not clear or correct
Presentation	Excellent Project is easily read, math is correct as is spelling and organization. Student easily explains project without reading a script and answers questions easily.	Good Most of project can be read, spelling is correct, numbers are correct, organization is mostly logical. Student can explain project, reads some of it but can answer questions easily.	Fair Some of the project could be read, spelling and organization are confusing, but all numbers are correct. Student stumbles over words and has problems explaining project.	Poor Could not read project, words not spelled correctly, numbers mixed up and project not organized. Student can't read or explain own project.
In Class Work Effort	Excellent Used all time effectively in class and completed work diligently.	Good Used time effectively, but still social.	Fair Used time somewhat effectively, but was loud and off task.	Poor Did not use time effectively in class
