FORMAT

Biography must contain all elements of a written biography paper (e.g. Title Page, Bibliography, etc)

LEVEL 1

Biography is less then four paragraphs and/or is missing several key elements (e.g. bibliography, title page, etc.).

Biography contains some of the key elements and is at least three paragraphs in length.
LEVEL 3

Biography contains most of the necessary elements including title page, image of the individual, and a bibliography. Biography is also a minimum of four paragraphs in length.

RESEARCH

Student properly cites some sources of material in their bibliography.
LEVEL 4

Student properly cites a minimum of three sources of material in their bibliography.
SEQUENCING

Students will put events in a chronological time order.

LEVEL 1

Biography does not follow a chronological time line. Order is confusing to reader.

Biography generally follows a chronological time line, but has events out of order.

Biography follows a chronological time line with most events in order.
