Historical Fiction Book Report Interview

Students read a Historical Fiction Novel and prepared an interview for the talk show called "Chatting with History". Students had to prepare questions and answers and create a costume out of a poster board.

I was fooled for a moment as I thought the main character was really being interviewed. The character's dress, cosmetics, voice, behavior, and setting led me to believe I was viewing the really deal!
Questions and Answers	Not Evident Questions/Answers are few and only recall facts from the book.	Working on It There are several questions in the interview, but they only recall facts from the book.	Almost There Questions/Answers are many, and were mixed between facts and inferences. Some questions were clever that made the interview thing. Questions were critically created such as cause and effect of history of that time and things that involved the character to opinions the character had with regards to the story and time.

Poster Costume	Not Evident Geesh! This is it? A bit disappointing. Don't you agree? Either no poster at all or a poster with no color, no detail, no title.	Working on It Eh. This was ok. It looks like you spent a little time on this. I don't see a lot of detail and it looks a bit sloppy. Frankly, I expected more.	Almost There Hey! Nice job. I can see you put quite a bit of effort into this poster. I see color and detail. I see you did a fine job.	Accomplished Wow! What detail, color, thought and creativity! Your poster sprang to life! I can also see that your OWN work is demontrated here. Superb!
