Very little expression or enthusiasm in voice. Little sense of trying to make poem sound like natural language. Volume is generally very soft.

Some expression, but not consistent. Attempts to use voice to make poem sound like natural language, but not all the time. Volume is generally soft.

Sounds like natural language. Recitation has excellent expression and enthusiasm. The performer is able to vary expression and volume.
