Students will create an Explorer project to show their understanding of the Adversity that affects Explorers present day or Early Explorers.

Pictures	Needs Improvement Student has 1-2 pictures of their explorer or their explorer's life.	Proficient Student has 3-5 pictures of their explorer or their explorer's life.	Advanced Student has 6 or more pictures of their explorer or their explorer's life.
Facts	Needs Improvement Student has 1-10 good facts about explorer.	Proficient Student has 11-20 good facts about explorer.	Advanced Student has 21-30 good facts about explorer.
Neatness	Needs Improvement Words are misspelled. Handwriting is sloppy and hard to read. Lack of effort in project.	Proficient The project looks nice. Words are spelled correctly and effort put into project.	Advanced The project is very neat. All words are spelled correctly. The student put a lot of time and effort into their project.
Presentation	Needs Improvement Student put no effort into their presentation. The student did not have any knowledge of their explorer. The student could not be heard, or understood.	Proficient Student presented their project and had some knowledge of their explorer. They were able to answer questions, but did not project their voice at all times.	Advanced Student was well prepared for the presentation. They knew about their explorer and spoke clearly and loud enough for all to hear.
