Scene 5 Symbolism Writing 
Students were asked to write 2 paragraphs, each on one symbol from Scene 5 of "The Diary of Anne Frank." They were specifically asked to write about how the symbol reflects the relationships and feelings of the characters, and were encouraged to use the Hanukkah gifts as their symbols.
