Creativity/ Originality Inventiveness, expression of ideas and imagination. * Is there a deeper message in your work? * What makes your project different from others?	Extraordinary The artwork demonstrates original personal expression and outstanding problem solving skills. Student did not copy idea from somewhere else.	Above average The artwork demonstrates some personal expression and logical problem solving skills. Student may have copied an idea from the internet but altered it to make it their own	Average The artwork demonstrates an average amount of personal expression. Student copied from the internet with little deviation.	Below average The artwork demonstrates little personal expression and problem solving skills.
Understanding Demonstrates that instructions and concepts are understood. * Describe the process you used to create your work. * Descriptively discuss each step and walk me through your process. Include stages of clay and tools used within the process.	Extraordinary The artwork is planned carefully; understanding of all concepts and instructions are clearly shown. There is a clear theme of "opposites."	Above average The artwork is planned carefully; understanding of most concepts and instructions are shown.	Average The art work is planned adequately; understanding of some concepts and instructions are shown.	Below average The artwork shows little evidence of understanding the concepts and instructions.
Craftsmanship/ Skill Neatness, precision, care. * List 4 characteristics that led you to your reflection choice.	Extraordinary The artwork shows outstanding craftsmanship,with clear attention to detail. No pieces cracked or fell off before or after firing.	Above average The artwork shows good craftmanship, with some attention to detail. Minor cracking and/or loss of pieces before or after firing.	Average The artwork shows average craftmanship and attention to detail. There is some cracking and loss of pieces.	Below average The artwork shows below average craftmanship and little attention to detail. Project exploded or fell apart.
Effort What it takes to finish the project as well as possible, time dedicated to the project inside and/or out of class. * Did you meet the deadline for completion.	Extraordinary The student put forth extraordinary effort to complete the project well as possible; used class time extremely well.	Above average The student put forth the effort required to complete the project well; used class time well.	Average The student put forth the effort required to finish the project; used class time adequately.	Below average The student put forth the effort required to finish the project; usedclass time adequately.
