Student Interest Project 
Creating slides on a topic of interest to present to the class. This assignment will focus on utilizing Google tools to meet technology curriculum standards, as well as researching and presenting.

Student created 5 or more well developed slides explaining their topic to the class, in their own words. The slides are informative and provide a thorough coverage of the topic.

Grammar & Punctuation

Unsatisfactory

Student did not reread the work they had created. Sentences were unclear and their were an immense amount of grammatical errors. Punctuation was not clear and could not be understood.
Poor

Student did not reread the work they had created. Most sentences were unclear and there were many grammatical errors as well as punctuation errors. Had a difficult time reading the entire story clearly.
Good

Student may have reread their work over once or twice and didn't re edit what they had worked on. There were some grammatical and punctuation errors but the writing was still clear enough to understand.
Excellent

Student worked carefuly, re-read and edited their work thoroughly to make sure their grammatical work was 99% correct. The writing flows perfectly and there are no punctuation errors.
Creativity
15 %

Unsatisfactory

Student employed little or no creative elements in the Google Presentation. There are no pictures, no design, nothing to intrigue the reader.
Poor

There are barely any pictures for the reader to look at and shows a lack of exploration and usage with regard to the available technology.
Good

Good creativity. There are at least 2 photographs and some creativity with fonts and colors, formatting or other creative techniques.
Excellent

Creativity is excellent! A picture accompanies each slide, the student manipulated color, formatting, transitions, sound or video, and/or other creative techniques.
Focus, Following Directions
25 %

Unsatisfactory

Student was off task repeatedly and did not complete the project, or did not complete the project in specified format (google presentations). Student was disruptive to peers progress.
Poor

Student was off task, did not make use of time provided, or did not follow some of the directions. Student's completed project does not reflect focus or following of directions.
Good

Student worked mostly well, usually on task, and completes a satisfactory project. It is evident that directions have been followed, guidelines are met.
Excellent

Student had excellent focus and followed all directions to complete an outstanding project.
Presenting, Audience
10 %

Unsatisfactory

Project was incomplete, late, or not presented. Student was frequently unable to quietly respect peer presentations.
Poor

Project was late, not presented, or presentation not taken seriously. Student was unable to quietly respect peer presentations.
Good

Project was on time. Presentation was completed. Student was generally able to focus on his or her own presentation, and mostly respected peer presentations.
Excellent

Project was on time. Presentation was clear and interesting. Student was able to focus on his or her own presentation, and respected all peer presentations.
