1. Poetry Analysis Write a 1-2 page analysis of the song you choose noting poetic devices listed on the following pages. Discuss the meaning or theme of the song quoting sections or lines. Give at least three examples of poetic devices used and how they help bring the meaning across to the listeners.	Fair Student provides an interpretation which is 70% supported by the lyrics 1/2 page analysis or less Missing: Poetic Devices 2 or less Theme or Meaning Does not explain the effect on the listener	Good Student provides an interpretation which is 90% supported by the lyrics 1-2 pg analysis 3 Poetic devices but with little explanation as to the effect on the listener Theme or Meaning is explained but with minimal details	Excellent Student speculates on how the lyrics contribute to the meaning and theme of the story, providing a well-supported interpretation. 1-2 pages 3 poetic devices supported with details Theme or Meaning is supported with details
2. Rewrite the lyrics change the story line, ending, or improve the diction (word choice) of the song (minimum of 20 lines but it should be a replica of the lyrics)	Fair Minimal changes made to the song.
