Mad Lib - present progressive

Students will write sentences for a "mad-lib" like activity. Then, they will take the two funniest sentences and illustrate (and color) them.

Present progressive sentences: Students put together mad lib sentences using the present progressive, ESTAR + verb ending in -ANDO or -IENDO	Excelente!! (Excellent)!! All 22 sentences are completed, using the present progressive correctly.	Bueno! (Good) Not all sentences are complete. Few mistakes with the present progressive format.	Casi??? (Almost) Few sentences attempted. Many errors with the present progressive format. Turned in paper, but not much effort was put into the activity.
Illustrations: Illustrations from the funniest 2 mad libs.	Excelente!! (Excellent)!! Illustrationsmatch the sentence perfectly. They are colored and funny in content.	Bueno! (Good) The illustration is a good attempt to match the sentence. The sentence is more realistic than funny.	Casi??? (Almost) The illustration is misleading and does not illustrate the sentence efficiently. Student did not complete the illustrations.
