Circulatory System 3 Step Project

Students will complete a 3 Step Project that takes them from various levels as outlined in Bloom's Taxonomy to achieve maximum knowledge and application at grade level on subject matter.

Knowledge by Design	Failing Incomplete, or most of the project has missing or no information on the parts or functions of the Circulartory System. Drawing is mostly incomplete.	Fair Incomplete, Contains some information of the parts and functions of the various parts of the Circulartory System and its functions and drawings. Quality of drawing is fairly clear, readable & understandable.	Good Fairly complete and contains most of the parts and functions of the Circulartory System and its various parts as well as the quality of the drawing is clear, readable and understandable.	Excellent Project is fully complete and contains all the required parts & functions of the Circulartory System required and the quality of the drawing is clear, readable, complete and neatly done.
Comprehension by Research	Failing Student did not complete a 2-page report as required, there were no graphics or pictures. The presentation was also unacceptable or poorly done or copied from the internet of other secondary resources.	Fair Student completed a report but not the 2-page report as required on the disorders of the Circulartory System which contained no graphics and/or presentation was in fair condition and could have been improved with minor adjustments in the presentation. Was basically copied from the internet or other secondary resource.	Good Student completed a report but not the required 2-pages on the disorders of the Circulatory System and contained pictures and graphics and presentation was in order and withing the given instructions. Was summarized but used many words and terms from a secondary resource in constructing the research paper.	Excellent Student completed a 2-page research report on 1 or more Circulartory System disorders of Anemia, Hemophilia or Leukemia and the presentation was neat and arranged in very satisfactory condition according to instructions. Included pictures and diagrams as well. Used his/her own words to express the ideas and concepts of the research purposefully working toward originality and not duplication.
Application through Technology	Failing Student has very little or no knowledge of the various blood types and components of antibodies & antigents needed to successfully match blood types and to perform a blood transfusion in a simulated setting using technoloy.	Fair Student has some knowledge of the various blood types and the components of antibodies & antigens but needs constant feedback on matching the various components involved in matching blood types. Not successful in completing simulated blood transfusion online.	Good Student has a basic knowledge of the various blood types and some knowledge of matching antibodies & antigens to perform a simulated online blood transfusion with little help or assistance. Has successfully completed the transfusion.	Excellent Student has a workable knowledge of how to evaluate a persons blood type and how to match the types, antibodies and antigens so that they may be able to perform an simulated online blood transfusions of 3 patients successfully.
