Fair Student is not well prepared and would benefit from many more rehearsals.	Weak Student is obviously unprepared for the task. No evidence of any practice.
Memorization	Excellent The student has memorized the entire lines (100%) and is able to present it without error.	Good The student has memorized entire lines and is able to present with less than 3 errors from which he/she recovers.	Fair The student has memorized entire lines and is able to present, however recites only fragments of the speech successfully.	Weak The student has not memorized the lines.
Clarity and Expression	Excellent The student speaks clearly. Recites loudly enough for all to hear throughout the presentation.	Good The student speaks clearly and distinctly with few "filler" words	Fair The student speaks clearly but is, at times, indistinct, too quiet. Several filler words	Weak The student does not speak clearly, mispronounces words and is inaudible to the audience.
Overall effort	Excellent The student put forth maximum effort in this assignment.	Good The student put for effort, but could have done more.	Fair The student shows little effort in accomplishing this assignment	Weak The student did not attempt the assignment.
