	Poor 0 pts	Fair 1 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 5 pts
ATTENDANCE	Poor Student is absent for 2 or more classes.	Fair Student is absent for 1 class and does not provide reasonable excuse.	Good Student is absent for 1 class and provides reasonable excuse.	Excellent Student is present at every class meeting.
PUNCTUALITY	Poor Student is often late (4 or more times).	Fair Student is sometimes on time (2 or 3 latenesses).	Good Student is usually on time or early (only 1 lateness).	Excellent Student is on time regularly or early for class.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR	Poor Student never participates in class, does not participate in discussions. Comments, when offered, are often uninformed and rely on personal taste.	Fair Student rarely participates in class, struggles with discussions. Comments are often uninformed and rely on personal taste.	Good Student sometimes asks questions, and participates in discussions.	Excellent Student brings original thought and persepctive to discussion. Maintains active involvement throughout semester.
