Trash To Treasure 
After completing Unit 9: Human impact on land, students will use their knowledge from the lessons to create a useful item from objects that would normally be thrown away. Students must be creative in transforming their pile of "trash" into something that is functional , "treasure". Along with their item students must include a 1-2 paragraph write up of their creation. In their paragraphs they must describe their object, it's function, and the objects relevance to environmental awareness. The write up MUST include at least 4 vocabulary terms (at least 1 from each lesson covered).
