iRubric: Creative Story rubric

Student was unable to create a story with a beginning, middle and end. Cannot understand who the character is and what the character wants to accomplish in the story. Has no idea what the story is about.

Student could form some sort of idea, but was unable to create a full story out of it. Has little understanding of who the character is in the story and what the character wants to do.

Student created a good concept of their story. They formulated good ideas but had some trouble letting their idea flow throughout their entire story. The characters may not have been specific enough and the story may have lacked a beginning, middle and end.

Student created a well written story with a beginning, middle and end. The idea flowed throughout the entire story and the characters were specific and clear. The story was understandable and enjoyable to read.
