Words are often not clear. There is little to no varied rate and volume. Voice does not fit character well. Words are not pronounced correctly.

Words are muffled and unclear throughout. The voice is monotone. Words are pronounced incorrectly or completely unclear lacking any diction.
Interpretation

The student interprets characters using voice and body expressively and creates dramatizations that are believable and reveal character motivation.

Believable, natural. Character objectives clear. Proper emotional tone. Few character breaks.
Level 3

Believable, natural. Character objectives unclear. Proper emotional tone at times. Many character breaks.
Level 2

Not believable. Breaks character, or no character created.
