Abstract template
Using Web of Science, find two recent (last 5 years) peer-reviewed scholarly articles about your planet. (Neither of these should be the same article you use for 1.2.) First, read over both articles, along with their abstracts. Next, reverse outline the articles. Comparing your reverse outlines to the abstracts, identify which structural and content elements from the articles are included and which are left out. Finally, write up a template, or road-map, of what the abstract of a scientific article should include and what the rhetorical and practical purpose of the abstract is.
