Oral Presentation- Quest Book Report due Tues. 11/15 
Students will give a short presentation to the class on their reading book of at least 200 pages that has a lexile level within their range (above or not more than 50 points below). Students will include the book's lexile level and their own lexile level on a note card, along with bibliographic information in MLA format on the other side of the note card. Students will demonstrate understanding of the terms studied in class, explaining the 5 elements of the Quest in their book. The presentation will begin with an introduction and end with a conclusion. Students are required to hand in this self-graded rubric before their oral presentation on Tuesday, November 15, and have a typed copy of their presentation to hand in. 10 points will be deducted for students who do not have this rubric or a typed copy of their presentation. *Automatic approval and 20 extra credit points for reading Hemingway's 'The Old Man and the Sea' or Steinbeck's 'The Pearl', but parental OK required.
