Student does not respond appropriately to questioning. Student is unclear or obtuse/vague in answering questions posed by interviewer. Student does not answer questions.

Student does not always respond appropriately to questioning. Some answers were vague/obtuse or off-topic.

Student responds appropriately. Student easily offers complete answers to interviewer using details and examples.
Questioning

Student did not ask the interviewer questions.
Fair

Student asked only one question to the interviewer and or did not seem to be paying attention to the answer.
Good

Student has two or more questions for the interviewer and gives the interviewer his/her full attention for the answer.
Volume

Student is not heard well throughout the interviewing process.
Fair

Student is heard well for only part of the interviewing process.

Student is clearly heard throughout the interviewing process.
Body Language

Poor

Student does not firmly shake the hand of interviewer and or does not maintain eye contact throughout the interviewing process. Student sits before being asked to do so.
Fair

Student firmly shakes the hand of interviewer, maintains eye contact most of the time, and or sits before being asked to do so.
Good

Student firmly shakes the hand of interviewer, maintains eye contact when appropriate, and waits to be invited to sit down.
